Description

Statue of Liberty + The Copper Family

Benefit for The Refugee Buddy Project

Friday 19 June at 7.00pm

£12.50/£7.50/£PWYC

Henry Ward Hall, 45 Robertson St, Hastings TN34 1HL

Statue of Liberty is an avant-garde big band which brings together 18 of the finest local musicians with backgrounds in jazz, post-punk, avant-pop, noise, improv and classical. It’s inaugural performance at Sono-Electro/XMTR 2026 was hailed by The Wire as “glorious,” offering music Hastings Online Times thought was “really cooking.”

The Copper Family are the legendary custodians of English traditional music. Their repertoire embodies an oral tradition they can trace back through eight generations: a music tied to the land and which is part of the landscape (not just the furniture).

Two stellar East Sussex supergroups in a gala concert in aid of The Refugee Buddy Project! DJ Southcoast DonArden fills in the gaps in what promises to be an extraordinary evening.

Ticket are priced for all pockets. Bring all your friends!  https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1987496784384/
