Description
A talk by Isa Martin on Simenon's time in Aunis and Saintonge, where he stayed before and during the Second World War. He wrote 34 novels while he was there, many of which were adapted for the screen. He carefully studied and described provincial society, without being overly sentimental.
This event is run by the Mid-Sussex Franco-British Society - free to members and £5 for guests. All welcome but please be aware the talk will be in French.
